buy a 3D printing laser. It becomes more and more affordable for mid-sized and small companies. Oh! You’re not a company? You may become one! Oh you don’t know how to make money with it? Find an idea. Craft shoes with your laser!

3D-printing is a technique that lets you craft your 3D object on a computer. It commands a laser that will cut and fuse layers physically different materials, all with a single build process. It’s specifically useful for prototyping.

Pauline Von Dongen developed those 3-D shoes for her Morphogenesis collection exposed at Galeries Joseph during last Paris Fashion week Fall 2010.

The shoes themselves are made of powdered nylon that has been slowly fused together. The platform aims at adding a bit of cushion to make the shoes more comfortable since the material is stiff.
You may get a pair for $5000. Yep it’s almost crazier a price than Valentino lace shoes’. But here, I don’t wonder why I’d pay for this.
