She’s been unusually present in French medias for the last couple of months with this campaign and for the sake of her new movie (L’arnacoeur) promotion (Understand love/ heart (coeur in French) cheater (arnaqueur in French). -queur and coeur being the same pronunciation, that gives l’Arnacoeur. Cute isn’t it?

Such a presence was the chance to root some confidences out. It’s that Paradis and her beau of 12 years Johnny Depp are a secretive item. Now I know that they’ve tamed each other; They own an island in the Caribbean (I did know that yet). They speak mostly english with each other but Depp’s a good French speaker. She’s not ready to make a movie with him (Is he?). They live far away from hollywood frenzy in the south of France. I guess they are proof that leading a successful movie career far from paparazzi hunting is possible.

Joe le taxi – Vanessa Paradis

Paradis got her breakthrough with the song Joe Le Taxi.  She was 14. So far, she’s managed to remain France ‘s sweetheart. She’s a singer, songwriter, actress and fashion model. Among others, she released two other major albums. One Serge Gainsbourg wrote for her. She sang Tandem (understand both) at the same period she made her first Chanel ad for the perfume Coco.

Tandem, Vanessa Paradis

She co-wrote an album with Lenny Kravitz with whom she had a couple of years romance. It was her wild years. The years she had been stopped from reentering US territory since she was found in pot possession.

She’s also an award winning actress as she won a Cesar – kinda French Oscar – for most promising actress in Noces Blanches (White wedding)

The Chanel photoshoot took place at Hotel Crillon.
