I like the feel of SS2012 campaign. It's the Italian family as I'd imagine it. But I find it utterly odd that only Monica Bellucci and Bianca Balti have make up on and both of the other ladies don't. What do you think huh?

Can't believe Spring collection are upon us. I just bought the Elle, and all advertising smell like warmer temperatures. I'm still layering my cashmeres to keep warm, but it feels good to look ahead!

I haven't been blown away by Paris Fashion week. Though it's the first time that I'm doing this broader review: all major fashion capitals commented on, it's the first time that I'm left bored by Paris Fashion Week. The neutral were dull, the block color too yellow-only, the yellow were too neon even for me who absolutely love this color. My slideshow is way less stuffed than London and New York Fashion weeks. Come on Paris!

You know I was browsing the shows on WWD and Vogue and I was feeling sympathetic with those poor attendants who should have been yawning hard. They looked boring. Period. I appreciate that men haven't Haute Couture runways to showcase "concept" clothes. I assume that RTW stuffs it all. But honestly, I barely liked a couple of piece out of every show ... except Roland Mouret's. They are the kind I'd like my boyfriend or my father or my brother to have on.

I have in mind a pic of my dad wearing this very ensemble, but white head to ankle (don't remember the shoes) at the wedding of my mom's brother. I was 9. This summer I will be going to the wedding of my little cousin the daughter of this couple ...

My men’s RTW Spring Summer 2012 favs

This Men's 2012 collection was not my favorite of all. From the Givenchy's skirts (Rick Owens' was no surprise), to Sacai girly espadrilles to Comme des Garcons's fushia suit, I don't think that most trends fitted everyday outfit, which should qualify a Ready To Wear collection in my view. And I'm no fan of this crop pant thing that we see on streetstyle blogs for one year now.

I will be getting back home for summer break. Last year, I got stuck in Paris for work. But this summer will definitely see me flying out to the Caribbean and French Guyana for the wedding of my little cousin. And ... icing on the cake, I guess I'll go twice, once in July for a short week just for the wedding and second in September to spenf time with my parents and my new nice (2 months old in a few days). Can't wait to hold her.

Nothing about the nuclear cloud spreading in the atmosphere. It's as if it's gone ... maybe in the creation of some shoe designer like Camilla Skovgaard, which I love so much by the way that I'd buy all the shoes she designs just for the sake of having them in my closet.

L.A.M.B SS 2011 collection

The fact that L.A.M.B. collection is so Gwen Stefanish, and that she wears it makes me think that she has fun doing it and that she believes in what she's doing. It's like she's a whole. It gets me attracted even more. What makes me write this post today is how rich in pattern her collection is. While lots of SS collection are solid colors and even dark tone, hers is full of pattern and sun with an obvious african inspiration in it. It's like fresh air.

Raf Simons introduced an utterly feminine Men's RTW collection last week in Paris. Evidences are the boot large cut pants, fitted tops, straight above the knees bermudas and skirts. The androgynous figure of the models added even more confusion about whom this collection was intended for. I seriously love the whole collection . I'd get it all for myself. Though I'm not sure I'm ready to cross with guys dressing that way in the streets. I purposefully selected only the very hermaphrodite outfits.

The French-born designer Sophie Theallet is CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund award 09 holder. She wins more than the $200 000 included in the prize. Honestly, I guess one single fashion show costs more than that. First she has one year of marketing, designing and producing mentoring from the industry professionals. Second, a broader audience of opportunists like myself.

I attended Madeleine Vionnet, puriste de la mode, exhibit last week at The Musée des Arts Décoratifs (107 rue de Rivoli, Paris, Mo Palais Royal). Thrice I was in Paris in the last months, twice I couldn't attend the exhibit. You imagine how I was thrilled to eventually do it last week. The exhibit lasts until end of January 2010 and showcases more than 130 (fairy) dresses that Vionnet fabricated. I was stunned to figure out how modern the dresses are. They date back to the beginning of the century and they look like contemporary dresses. If you pay a visit, do not hesitate to take the guided tour to understand the era's context and get full explanation about Madeleine Vionnet's talent.

Well before its show, I heard much fuss about Ungaro Spring 2010 Collection. The buzz keeps going on after it. Well the reviews are far from utterly positive. Though, Lindsay Lohan appointment as fashion advisor has drawn serious attention, talk and lines to Ungaro house during the fashion month. Second (wait for the 1st/) I am not disappointed. I am Ready To Wear this collection.
