You remember last year when Chanel Iman made her first runway for Victoria’s Secret. After the show, she declared to Modelinia that she wanted her wings.
She’s got hers this year. And what wings!
God, she has changed in just one year. She’s so present on the fashion scene that I forget she’s just a 20 something kid … So right! she changes fast.
I like that L.A.M.B. collection is so Gwen Stefanish. It was the shoes on pipelime.com that drawn my attention 2 years ago on the shoe collection. Afterwards, I knew it was Gwen Stefani’s label. I do not really follow her. I just stumble upon her design sometimes when I browse retail websites. Though, I like the collection she just introduced for Spring Summer 2011. The fact that the collection is so herself, that she wears it makes me think that she has fun doing it and that she believes in what she’s doing. It’s like she’s a whole. It gets me attracted even more.
What makes me write this post today is how rich in pattern her collection is. While lots of SS collection are solid colors and even dark tone, hers is full of pattern and sun with an obvious african inspiration in it. It’s like fresh air.
I was just reading thru the interview of Joseph Altuzarra Anna dello Russo got for Interview magazine. They both agreed about how fashion has been taking a low key attitude lately. The new generation of designers, whom Altuzarra is part of, has been making itself very more accessible than the older one. Altuzarra doesn’t feel anymore as if he’s an ivory tower. He’s a regular
This Lanvin’s runway Cleopatra style with black wig and bold smoky eyes’ style is a look I’d like to flaunt.

Unfortunately, I’d look weird. My frizzy hair can’t stand a fringe. From the day I cut a fringe down, I’ll be my iron straightener’s if I don’t want to look like an alpaca.
You know what I love about this collection? That Christophe Lemaire popped colors. It really is different from usual dark collection. I really believe I should wear more colors during winter to lift up my mood. I confess that I’m a black person over winter. Above all because (and this winter more than ever) I stack clothes to keep warm. Do you believe that I’m gonna work with 5 layers. 6 with my underwear. First my underwear. 2/another underwear shirt or tee 3/My shirt. 3′/Another shirt depending upon the length of the sleeves or the body of the first one.4/ my pull/ sweater or my jacket. 6/ My coat. And I double my socks. I always wear a scarf, my hat and my gloves (sometimes my leather gloves + a pair of mitts). You bet it’s easier to picking them up all black rather than mixing colors right.

This yellow runway is bright. I mean smart.
I couldn’t resist posting some pics that leaked from the Victoria’s Secret fashion show yesterday night.
