I've always wondered how Grace Jones sculpted her updo. I wasn't shocked by her longer neck or her wider mouth. No no no. I was appealed by her haircut. You agree with me that her physical attributes are jaw dropping be it your taste or not. But besides her fascinating body and her role in James Bond, I figured out how much Jean Paul Goude contributed to make from her a timeless, unforgettable bombshell.

Way before Adobe seeded the idea of Photoshop, Jean Paul Goude used to cut out his negatives to make his pictures look as he was envisioning them. This stunning photo of Grace Jones singing and holding a ballet dancer pause .... well! it's a fake! It's cut out pieces of negatives taped together to reproduce the master's view.

I got my hands on a H4D at the Hasselblad Master day of London. I took the day off a couple of weeks ago and got myself to Shoreditch at the Hasselblad Studio. Amateurs like me, pro and Hasselblad master finalist attended. Some had flown from France or Spain. It was good fun to meet up with such a wide panel of photographers. The Hasselblad studio is fitted with an office space, a kitchen, a room for the models to get prepared and a mezzanine overlooking the shooting space.

Metro Maubert Mutualité, Paris

This is metro Maubert Mutualité station (I guess. I hardly remember, but it should be this one). The underground is just a convenience for me. I don't really like traveling that way. I take the bus whenever I can in London as well. But this roof is just stunning!

Deauville, the 21th arrondissement of Paris

Deauville is located West Northern of France, 2 hours driving from Paris. It's called the 21th arrondissement of Paris since most wealthy parisian people own a cottage there to spend the week end at the beach not far from the city. I got excited to go there for the first time since the city is famed for being lovely. I planned my trip to take half time working, half time strolling and taking pics in between the lectures my host planned.

I used to live just across the River Seine on the left bank, which is trendier to set in. I must say that the right bank has tremendously changed in just 2 years.

French TV speaker, journalist and writer Claire Chazal took part with Carla Bruni Sarkozy and Vanessa Paradis (and other French celebs) to a self portrait project. The pics have been auctioned at Christie's Paris on July 1st, 2010 for helping raising funds for medical research and the poorest.

Top model turned French First Lady, Carla Bruni Sarkozy, striked the pose for a shoot of herself by herself. The pic has been auctioned at Christie's Paris on July 1st, 2010 to help raising funds for medical research and the poorest (I don't why one cause is related to the other, by the way).

Jeneil Williams is 20 years old. She's Jamaican. She's staffed by New York Models. She's got this amazing shape from having been a junior track & field athlete. An injury made her give up that career. And it seems that her body gave You know I like this kinda body. Jeneil's body gets something deeply wild that photoshoot captures vividly.

Photoshop has just released an app for iPhone. For free. Wait wait wait. Don't jump off of your chair (as I did). Photoshop.com Mobile for iPhone is barely an extension of photoshop.com, a website for storing, sharing, editing pics. It's nothing like the famously expensively awesome software sporting the same name.
