You won't hear me saying in a couple of years from now how fab Men's Fall winter 2012 was! I tried hard to get inspired but I was expecting more color block and more prints (I mean wearable nice prints). Sometimes an unsurprising collection is better than a disappointing one, don't you think?

Can't believe Spring collection are upon us. I just bought the Elle, and all advertising smell like warmer temperatures. I'm still layering my cashmeres to keep warm, but it feels good to look ahead!

The macaron bossman in Paris is Pierre Herme. his macarons are by far yummier than any other pastries'. The biscuit shell is delicately crunchy and the heart is ... creamier. Besides the texture, the flavors are insane.

On my way out to Guiana last week, I stopped one day in Paris to have my hair cut and shop beauty products to refill my bathroom cabinet. I am loyal to my Sisley products, which are cheaper in France, and nothing is as good as the beauty products I've been purchasing in French pharmacies for years.

This is metro Maubert Mutualité station (I guess. I hardly remember, but it should be this one). The underground is just a convenience for me. I don't really like traveling that way. I take the bus whenever I can in London as well. But this roof is just stunning!

This cigarettegate was ludicrous. I just don't understand the symbol behind it. I think a catwalk isn't the right place for this, be this a protest against Smoking Day or a just a controversial accessory of the fashion show. Yep, you got it! I don't smoke. I'm glad that public places are turning one by one No-cigarette-allowed.

This sunny week end in Paris

was as perfect as any last thing should be. It was mid January. So quite unusual and precious. I hit the Club Med Gym at 10 am and look around Paris from the 22nd floor of the Pullman Hotel across the high roofed glass windows. The air was so clear and the sky was so blue that I felt capable to reaching out the Sacré Coeur over there with my finger.

Yesterday, I woke up early to get a walk and enjoy Paris crowd-free. I hoped that on Jan 1st, most of people would be sleeping after a night partying out. I guess it caught me by surprise, like Eva and Tony or Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds did. Carine Roitfeld and Vogue break it up. The announcement drops just right: She holds a 10-year credit to developing Vogue Paris to the point it is now, her once subversive, the other times softer editorials, and last and least the December issue starring Tom Ford allows Roitfeld to shut off the door and leave head up like the star she is.

Happa Teï’s Japanese cuisine

Happa Teï has became the last canteen I subscribed to in Paris. It's a Japanese restaurant (one of the only with what sounds true Japanese people in the kitchen rather than Chineses) of Rue Sainte Anne (one of both Japanese streets of Paris, the other being Rue Monsieur le Prince). The reason why I like it is I never ate that before. Simple yep. I really need to go to Japan one day.

La Parisienne, the parisian girls’ race

Today morning held the 14th edition of La Parisienne race. It's a 6 km (4 miles) race intended for female only to register. The official figure was 22 000 registered females I planned to wake up early to shoot pics and I eventually spent more time than planned in bed. Sunday ... It's hard dude.

I just bought this hat at Doria Salambo at Bastille in Paris.

€19/$23. I love it. It's pretty high, and this bell shape is funny. I'm rather into plain colors than pattern fabrics. I confess that I'm mostly classic. I accessorize a lot with bold stuffs like this hat.

I came thru the making of of Kate Moss and Gaspard Ulliel advertising for Longchamp back in 2008 at Cafe de Flore, Paris. I missed this campaign as I were living in the US that year. The campaign renders the whole Paris cliché picture with the intimate and vintage interior of Café de Flore. Look at this cup of tea. Today, you find that out only at your grandmother countryside home. Yet, it's not the campaign itself that's stunning. It's more the characters.
