You won't hear me saying in a couple of years from now how fab Men's Fall winter 2012 was! I tried hard to get inspired but I was expecting more color block and more prints (I mean wearable nice prints). Sometimes an unsurprising collection is better than a disappointing one, don't you think?

You know I was browsing the shows on WWD and Vogue and I was feeling sympathetic with those poor attendants who should have been yawning hard. They looked boring. Period. I appreciate that men haven't Haute Couture runways to showcase "concept" clothes. I assume that RTW stuffs it all. But honestly, I barely liked a couple of piece out of every show ... except Roland Mouret's. They are the kind I'd like my boyfriend or my father or my brother to have on.

I have in mind a pic of my dad wearing this very ensemble, but white head to ankle (don't remember the shoes) at the wedding of my mom's brother. I was 9. This summer I will be going to the wedding of my little cousin the daughter of this couple ...

My men’s RTW Spring Summer 2012 favs

This Men's 2012 collection was not my favorite of all. From the Givenchy's skirts (Rick Owens' was no surprise), to Sacai girly espadrilles to Comme des Garcons's fushia suit, I don't think that most trends fitted everyday outfit, which should qualify a Ready To Wear collection in my view. And I'm no fan of this crop pant thing that we see on streetstyle blogs for one year now.

Because there's always a but, and when one searches, one finds ... I liked the short. I would have

There's something with this greenish trend men's runways have sorted out. This is not the most flattering color. But this is certainly the newest shade. Is it a yerk? Or is it a no?

Raf Simons introduced an utterly feminine Men's RTW collection last week in Paris. Evidences are the boot large cut pants, fitted tops, straight above the knees bermudas and skirts. The androgynous figure of the models added even more confusion about whom this collection was intended for. I seriously love the whole collection . I'd get it all for myself. Though I'm not sure I'm ready to cross with guys dressing that way in the streets. I purposefully selected only the very hermaphrodite outfits.

Is that scary? It's not really what I'd expect from Lanvin as a visual ... But, it's very Inès Van Lamwsweered and Vinodh Matadin. Here, the photographers turned models and shoot themselves. You know what I love about this collection? That Christophe Lemaire popped colors. It really is different from usual dark collection. I really believe I should wear more colors during winter to lift up my mood. I confess that I'm a black person over winter. Above all because (and this winter more than ever) I stack clothes to keep warm. Do you believe that I'm gonna work with 5 layers. 6 with my underwear. First my underwear. 2/another underwear shirt or tee 3/My shirt. 3'/Another shirt depending upon the length of the sleeves or the body of the first one.4/ my pull/ sweater or my jacket. 6/ My coat. And I double my socks. I always wear a scarf, my hat and my gloves (sometimes my leather gloves + a pair of mitts). You bet it's easier to picking them up all black rather than mixing colors right.

Sorry guys. I'm running late. I'm 12 hours a day at the office. Not as much time as I want to feed my blog. I tracked the Fall 2010 Men collection with delight. I feel like that there's more creativity in Men Collection because they can't be very creative. I mean girl wear long knee length short skirt or dress, full or cropped pants, kinda skirt-pant and everything in between while men have pants and bermudas ... and shorts ... You see what I mean? And so I'm always in such a joy to scrutinize Men Collection, because it doesn't look like a lot what is going on out there. Girls are allowed to be creative in big cities. I feel like gentlemen aren't. The oversized coat together with the fitted leather pant create an interesting figure. The fabrics are kinda futuristic, while the shape of the coat has something of a classic (Tim Hamilton)
