You won't hear me saying in a couple of years from now how fab Men's Fall winter 2012 was!

I tried hard to get inspired but I was expecting more color block and more prints (I mean wearable nice prints). Sometimes an unsurprising collection is better than a disappointing one, don't you think?

But wearing painfully high heels every day doesn't just fit with the regular working girl I am. Well ... I walk! I catch the train, I run after the bus, I speed up in the underground stairs. As I'm growing older (and wiser)

I've always wondered how Grace Jones sculpted her updo. I wasn't shocked by her longer neck or her wider mouth. No no no. I was appealed by her haircut. You agree with me that her physical attributes are jaw dropping be it your taste or not. But besides her fascinating body and her role in James Bond, I figured out how much Jean Paul Goude contributed to make from her a timeless, unforgettable bombshell.

Way before Adobe seeded the idea of Photoshop, Jean Paul Goude used to cut out his negatives to make his pictures look as he was envisioning them. This stunning photo of Grace Jones singing and holding a ballet dancer pause .... well! it's a fake! It's cut out pieces of negatives taped together to reproduce the master's view.

I got my hands on a H4D at the Hasselblad Master day of London. I took the day off a couple of weeks ago and got myself to Shoreditch at the Hasselblad Studio. Amateurs like me, pro and Hasselblad master finalist attended. Some had flown from France or Spain. It was good fun to meet up with such a wide panel of photographers.

The Hasselblad studio is fitted with an office space, a kitchen, a room for the models to get prepared and a mezzanine overlooking the shooting space.

I haven't been blown away by Paris Fashion week. Though it's the first time that I'm doing this broader review: all major fashion capitals commented on, it's the first time that I'm left bored by Paris Fashion Week. The neutral were dull, the block color too yellow-only, the yellow were too neon even for me who absolutely love this color. My slideshow is way less stuffed than London and New York Fashion weeks. Come on Paris!

Zara is great for a quick fix. You know for items you feel like they will last for 2 seasons and go off. I tried on pretty much all the clothes on display at the ground floor of the Knightsbridge flagship and I made my mind on a classic black woolen (+polyester + acetate) straight pant for the office, navy blue denim cropped pants and one color block red silk blouse for ... wait for it ... £150. My Amex felt disoriented. My bank advisor is gonna call me tomorrow morning to greet me hopefully!

One is Alexandre Birman's python ballerinas I've been craving for ever since I spotted them on Net a Porter like 3 months ago. 2 weeks ago, I checked my wish list: on sale! can't believe it. 30% reduced. Size 9 still available. It's a sign.

You know I was browsing the shows on WWD and Vogue and I was feeling sympathetic with those poor attendants who should have been yawning hard. They looked boring. Period. I appreciate that men haven't Haute Couture runways to showcase "concept" clothes. I assume that RTW stuffs it all. But honestly, I barely liked a couple of piece out of every show ... except Roland Mouret's. They are the kind I'd like my boyfriend or my father or my brother to have on.

I have in mind a pic of my dad wearing this very ensemble, but white head to ankle (don't remember the shoes) at the wedding of my mom's brother. I was 9. This summer I will be going to the wedding of my little cousin the daughter of this couple ...

From the Givenchy's skirts (Rick Owens' was no surprise), to Sacai girly espadrilles to Comme des Garcons's fushia suit, I don't think that most trends fitted everyday outfit, which should qualify a Ready To Wear collection in my view. And I'm no fan of this crop pant thing that we see on streetstyle blogs for one year now.

I'm ashamed to voice that I barely get time to train. From a daily work out 2 years ago while I was enjoying myself in Stanford, I stepped down to twice a week yoga sessions (I try), a run in Hyde Park at week end (love it), and abs, back and arms work out before the yoga session to strengthen my upper body, even though it's only for 15 minutes. I haven't resumed a gym subscription since I moved in to London.

Thus, if I choose so, I have my hair back to frizzy (a bit less than it used to be) just washing it out. And I do not experience this frizzy root vs. straight lengths most of straightening treaments like the japanese one entail.

Meanwhile other models let themselves slip a bit ... very much, once they get a bit ... not too much famous. I won't name them as it's not my purpose here. Those who say they cannot get that same body they had at 16 to substantiate they grew a couple of sizes fatter sound just like scams to me.
