like the newest additions of my shoe closet.
One is Alexandre Birman‘s python ballerinas I’ve been craving for ever since I spotted them on Net a Porter like 3 months ago. They were available in blue and neutral as well, but the red ones are my favorite. So I was used to check out they were still available once in a while. Red. Still there ok! and size 9? … still available nice! Displaying of the bigger picture and then zooming in on them. Checking the shape of them, the red color on different screens, putting them in my basket, having a last thought about it and thinking: £300 for a pair of ballerinas. No way. Et hop in the wish list. Ho!, I did that yet last time! Double checking at the beginning of the summer sale. Not on sale. Boohooo. After 1st further reduction. Still not on sale. And the blue ones? the neutrals? Not on sale. Anyway I want the red ones. And 2 weeks ago, I checked my wish list: on sale! couldn’t believe it. 30% reduced. Size 9 still available. It was a sign. In my basket the sweeties. I wouldn’t pay the delivery just for one stuff. No no no. Those pants are nice £70. Hop. And this ACB necklace looks good actually £36. Not a big deeeaal. Hop. This bracelet looks lovely. The day after, apart size 5.5, the ballerinas were all sold out were they red, neutral, blue, and mine were at home collected from London Premier by my boyfriend.
The other pair is Giuseppe Zanotti peep toe suede booties. – 50% on sale. I spotted them at the Rue Saint Honore’s Zanotti store when I was in Paris back in May. I tried them on, told the store director how wonderfully good looking they were and left high chinned, empty handed. Then, I spotted them on the Vogue best dress list (I guess) at Karolina Kurokova’s feet! The b…. (Sorry Karolina if you ever read me one day. I don’t think you are. but it’s just the way I felt).
And here they are sitting up to my bedroom windowsill, because they’re worth it! Perfect with the nude dress I’ll put on at the 3rd princess wedding of the summer as my little cousin like to call her forthcoming nuptials.
I’ll be getting back home for summer break. Last year, I got stuck in Paris for work. But, this summer will definitely see me flying out to the Caribbean and French Guyana for the wedding of my little cousin. And … icing on the cake, I guess I’ll go twice, once in July for a short week just for the wedding and second in September to spenf time with my parents and my new nice (2 months old in a few days). Can’t wait to hold her.
Those darlings are my new selfish gift to myself. I’ve been searching the perfect boots for a while. The unique pair of them that combines elegance and comfort and suit all my dresses and pants… Ok ok! those don’t really. They are ok with slim jeans and leggings. But, honestly, which ones do?
Chanel is for me good at making dresses, suits and jackets and some accessories like glasses and sunglasses. Otherwise, I don’t fancy Chanel shoes at all, let alone the handbags. The 2.55 looks iconic just because it’s … iconic. You know it’s like Paris Hilton is famous just because she’s Paris Hilton. Other than that she doesn’t produce. She doesn’t make something. Don’t get me wrong! I’d love to make that money just being myself. Unfortunately, like many of us, I need to produce work to have my nespresso at breakfast.
Anyway. All the same, I never considered Chanel a watch manufacturer, in the most precious sense of the term.
is the Chloe Darla tote.
I was doing my usual browsing of the-things-I-d-like-in-my-closet-but-that-I-can-t-buy-them-all on Net a Porter when I saw the precious. I went touring the Chloe corner at Le Bon Marché and the Chloe store of Avenue Montaigne, Paris, but none of them has it the right combination I wanted : larger size, black & of grain leather. Amid my list of exhibitions to attend this week (Monet and Bulgari at Le Grand Palais, André Putman at Hotel de Ville), my big adventure to Northern Paris at Le Marché Saint Pierre, and my moving out to London preparation, I should find time to drop by Galeries Lafayette, Printemps and Chloe of Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré (has it reopened?) to check it out. Unfortunately, I can feel it, touch it, smell it (I did it already actually), but I can’t buy it now … Life’s about priority. Isn’t it? And though, I absolutely need a black handbag, this one is not a necessity (sigh).
You remember that my getting Italian boots was the top of my shopping list in Roma.
I’m obsessed with Chanel white gold and diamonds Coco ring. I like that luxury houses like Chanel borrows fake’s shape and lifts the whole with precious material like gold and diamond. I can’t imagine how much is this treasure.
