Michael Jackson’s Off the wall live
I just went thru two excerpts of Michael Jackson’s interviews in Interview Magazine. They dated back to 1982 and 2003.
Since he announced This is it tour in March 09, I have been looking up clips and concert excerpts all over YouTube and Daily Motion. And I was thinking that I forgot what complete artist he was. I only remembered all the mess around the trials. Though there wasn’t so much videos before June 25th, it’s uncountable now. Those interviews make me feel very emotional as every of his songs aired on TV or radio does since he passed away. That’s too bad we lost him. Not that I expected that he could redo his 80′s and early 90′s successes. It’s just sad.
The first interview was in 1982. MJ was 23 and about to release the record best selling album ever Thriller. I really imagine him with his characteristic voice and clear laugh answering Colacello and Warhol questions. He looked full of life. He looked mature and confident about his gift and his upcoming career.
The second interview was in 2003. It reversed over the course. At the beginning, MJ was to interview Pharell Williams. And it happened that Pharell eventually threw his awe for Michael’s talent and genius, and how MJ’s work had been influencing him and had been doing to the world. Pharell even gave him some respectful “Sir”. In this interview as well, Michael looked confident about his gift. Go take a look. Tell me what you think.
Both videos up & down here are the ones Pharell talked about.
That’s what you get (for being polite)
