Lee Jean Youn introduced his Fall Winter 2010 Haute Couture collection last week one block to Georges Pompidou Center in central Paris. It’s the second time he graces the French capital with his design, his first passage having been his SS2010 collection earlier this year.
Jean Youn delivered on a flowery stage a subtle & romantic design full of bows and flowers, veils and trails in organza, silk and cashmere fabrics. The key color was orange beside white and black. The whole collection was rather short lengthened, sexy, fitting and body flattering.
The orange color of those pants took a central place throughout the whole collection. It wasn’t bright, nor dull. Just the perfect tone to lift up dark winter outfits or spice up a white top like this one.
This black dress’ layers that cross under the chest and shape pleats to end up in asymetry makes an airy figure. The dress is great in that you don’t need to get a model’s corpse to fit in. The layers and asymetry makes it body friendly. The dress is short on the model, but she’s obviously tall. It’ll get longer on regular heightened folks.
I guess this dress’ been my favorite. I see it long or short, with long or shorter fringes, or longer than a shorter dress or no fringe at all. With another T dress of Alexander Wang underneath. Lots of inspiration here.
I like that corsets are coming back front stage. The corset and bandeau above borrows something to bondage in a sexy way. I like that it flatters small boobed chest (like mine), because it goes higher on the chest, covering it completely. Her straight posture helps obviously, event though no one can bear oneself that way all day long.
I couldn’t like all the collection. This is what I didn’t like at all. I don’t like denim dress. Period.
This dress is so romantic. I guess one can get married in! And recycle it for other fetes.
Actually, I like denim shoes. I liked those.

You see this fluffy fabric. It’s more obvious below. Isn’t it gorgeous as a fabric?
The evening’s star is right there hidden amid his models.
Winner of the 2nd edition of El-Botón-MANGO Fashion Awards, Lee Jean Youn keeps busy while working on his collections by pursuing a doctoral Degree. Lee Jean Youn won numerous awards throughout his 12-year career behind him, and has been exhibited in Seoul, his mother country, but also Paris, Hong Kong, Las Vegas. He’ll be presenting his collection in Barcelona later this week. I’m jealous that he’s right in the good place to enjoy the winning of FIFA cup.
