Gucci App is available today

Gucci release today its new App, available on the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch.

It features exclusive products (only one product today), playlists, videos, fashions shows, making of campaigns, a bit of a few of a slight view of Gucci collections, news & events with no dates, and a locator to find out the nearest of its 272 stores (Yep, that’s a lot). The App launch coincides with Gucci Icon Temporary project, a world traveling pop up sneaker store in collaboration with Mark Ronson. It opens tomorrow October 24th at 43 Crosby street in Soho, NYC, before moving to Miami on December 1st and then to London, Paris, Dublin, Hong Kong and Tokyo in Spring 2010.

PPR, the group that owns Gucci, keeps its strategy to position Gucci as a trend setter strong. Through their collaboration with Mark Ronson, Gucci targets style influencers, and is probably searching for creating the buzz on the Internet through bloggers and social networks. Touché.
