ghd is a british label of revolutionary hairstylers. With one single tool, I achieve straight or curly hair. Honestly, ghd has saved my hair life, and my look.

My hair is a mixed heritage of african/ indian/ white scalps. It is curly, dried, thin and fragile as coarse hair is. I wear it long. It demands 1/3 of my morning time in the bathroom, and probably one half of my beauty budget (I didn’t count yet) if I don’t want it straw-like. Folks are always complimenting my¬†curly mane, while I dream it tame with big waves or loose curls. I tried out lots of cheap revlon or babyliss hairstylers (around $40). All of them fried my hair.

ghd is revolutionary. Not only I achieve amazing waves and effects with one single tool, but also my hair is mirror-like. It holds all day long without spraying loads of lasting hold finishing product. It even holds in high humidity condition. (Okay, depending on the humidity, sometimes I still need a hold spray).

The regular styler (1” wide) is $240 in the US, and it’s worth every penny. I would buy it once more. 2 more references are available. One with larger plates for very long hair

and one for short hair or fringes with thinner plates.

I am thinking about buying the thinnest one extra.

     It’s so nice to notice it. And it’s nicer to say it. You’d never guess how many time I spend to achieve this clean layout. I wanted something sleek and smooth. I’m glad to know that at least one person (two indeed) has seen it.
