French TV speaker, journalist and writer Claire Chazal took part with Carla Bruni Sarkozy and Vanessa Paradis (and other French celebs) to a self portrait project. The pics have been auctioned at Christie’s Paris on July 1st, 2010 for a fund-raiser to benefit medical research and the poorest.

“I’m more comfortable with images in motion. I hardly recognize myself on pics, I find myself looking stricken, my face doesn’t look natural at all. My family and I have never been into photos. That’s a shame since I haven’t got pics of my younger self. Now, I rely on others to take pics” Claire Chazal

The reason why I love this pic is that it gives another look on Chazal.

On TV, she always looks sleek. Sitting at her desk staring at me, smileless. All dressed up with cardigans or jackets. Perfectly hairdone. Nude make up well before it got trendy. Seeing her doing the splits, with the largest smile and a prankster look is just how I wouldn’t have imagined her.

The pic is beautiful, and so she is!
