Spring 2011 RTW runways for men are full of shorts this year. I cheer on this trend.
There were some yet last year. Just last summer, I was there to my sweetheart “Honey, what do you think of shorts? No not bermuda. You know mid thigh shorts made of summer fabrics like linen or cotton. You know it’d flatter your toned legs more than bermuda do”.
Here are my favorites from D&G, Bottega Veneta Spring, Albino Deuxieme, Costume National, Guliano Fujiwara, Gucci, Lab Pal Zileri 2011 RTW runways.
I can’t wait for summer 2011 to happen.

The shorts are more bermuda-like. At first sight the color mix is weird. I’m not sure that a lot of men would walk the streets that way. But here on the pic, the mix of colors is brilliant. It made me stop on the pic while this post is about short at first … not so bad! Do you think men are ready for mix matching colors?
Gucci
All white with matching belt sandals and bags is sleek and elegant. You can’t go wrong.
Gucci
Same figure, different colors. It works well together too.

The fabric of the short looks like velvet. I’d be curious to see it for real since I do not really expect this fabric for a summer outfit.
Guliano Fujiwara
Quite a bold move this bottom. I don’t know whether I like it or not.
Dolce & Gabbana
With pleat, you absolutely need to get a trim figure.
Dolce & Gabbana
This larger short is much more casual. I see it for strolling an easy going afternoon. The shoes are so nice. They are in grey below as well.
Dolce & Gabbana
Ok it’s not a short… I liked the look. I had such a hard time to stick to the title. I loved a lot of trends in those Men’s collections.
Dolce & Gabbana
Here I liked the lengthened figure. Thin waist. Larger pants. I guess it’s no surprise for you coming from me.
Dolce & Gabbana
Pleat and tighter thighs. Who’s said that men don’t get as many fashion choices as women get?
Dolce & Gabbana
This short suit makes me think about how my mom made our friends laugh at my brother when we were youngster. She loved to dress him up with elegance, while he was into jeans and looking like his friends. Poor him. Obviously, that’s changed. I mean he doesn’t care anymore.
Dolce & Gabbana
Here are the grey shoes. They get the short classier.

Same shoes with a darker detail. I guess what makse them elegant is that the shoe body is tightly fitted around the foot.
Costume National
The short seems made of viscose or some very soft fabric. Another thing I’d like to see live. The mix of grey, dull yellow and black is interesting.
Costume National
See the thin belt? It’s uttelry feminine. Together with the bold black shoes, the whole style looks manly delicate.
Bottega Veneta
Another erstaz in my review. I don’t usually like blazers. I don’t like blue a lot. I don’t like those “Jesus’s back” gladiators. Those of you who attended catholic Sunday school while younger are gonna understand.
But I love this look. The jacket seems fitted enough. Pants are straight enough to draw the thigh and elongate the figure.
Bottega Veneta
Bold red. That was one of my favorite colors when I didn’t like orange red. I rather preferred brownish red. Now, I guess I like all kind of red.
