Lipstick deserves to get back its nobleness. I agree with Chanel. I was a fan of glosses when I was younger. While I was doing some touch ups in a nightclub ladie’s room, I realized that putting gloss on was only worsening the look of my shinny face. Yep I am a awful combination skin. At the middle of the day my face skin is as shiny as the skull of a bald man. Blot films has saved my life so far. Yet I get rid of lipsticks and kept my lips nude for a time. Then one year and a half ago, I decided that something was missing in my make up finish. That thing was my lips done. I remember my mom wearing no make up but some blush and a bold lipstick. Her lips are plumpy and her mouth is large. Her favorite lipstick color has always been red. Whatever red it is. Besides, she can wear every other color. I can’t. My mouth is not as large as hers is. Bold lipstick colors shrink it. So I’m more into pinks. Actually, I have three colors and their matching pencils I mix up to obtain different shades. One is a dark prune, one is the same pink than my lower lip, and one is nude. To enlarge my mouth, I put the dark prune on the outer corners and the softer pinks on the middle, with a touch of pink gloss on my lower lip pulp. And I always overdraw my lips line with the pencil. Outer dark and softer middle. I’ll definetely will look up Chanel red tones. Who knows? Maybe I’ll eventually find mine.

I was scanning something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your perspective on it is diametrically opposed to what I read to begin with. I am still mulling over the different points of view, but I’m tipped heavily toward yours. And no matter, that’s what is so super about contemporary democracy and the marketplace of ideas online.
