Deauville, the 21th arrondissement of Paris

Deauville is located West Northern of France, 2 hours driving from Paris. It's called the 21th arrondissement of Paris since most wealthy parisian people own a cottage there to spend the week end at the beach not far from the city. I got excited to go there for the first time since the city is famed for being lovely. I planned my trip to take half time working, half time strolling and taking pics in between the lectures my host planned.

Public Enemies is being aired on TV for the first time in France. The movie is of importance for us French people since it's the first Hollywood movie of French Academy Award winning actress Marion Cotillard. The chance to get an interview from media shy Johnny Depp. I admire his career and how he bounced back from gansgta' star to loving father.

I love the decor of this ad. It got shot on Le Pont des Amoureux, which is a wooden and metallic pedestrian bridge that crosses the River Seine in Paris. Understand sweetheart's bridge.

I was cleaning my photo library to make some room in my harddrive and I found this shoot. I don't even remember when I shoot it. It was someday at the beginning of the spring. Look, trees awere still blossoming. Easy shoot. Eiffel Tower will always look good.

is a once-the-sun-is-shinning sport. A sunny weekend get lots of Parisian attracted at terraces whether it's cold or hot. The truth is you can understand that behavior only when you live in Paris and you crave for some sun all year long. I guess I found out one big terrace place fraud in Paris at Montparnasse.

Armani Hotel at Burj Dubai

Today was the inauguration of Burj Dubai, the tallest tower in the world with a half mile height. 160 floors, 20 minutes elevator from ground floor to top, $1.5 bn cost and 4 years to completion, the skyscraper gathers superlatives. Located at the heart of downtown Dubai, it's so massive that it can be seen from 50 miles away (85 km). The construction began in 2004, when Dubai economy was florishing with a 9.7% growth. The forecast are 2.4% for 2010 and is expected to be 0.2% in 2009.

Andy Warhol craft is recession proof

It seems that art, and art lovers, don't care less about recession. After all, it's no surprise that, we, folks secure our investments rather than take risk on more affordable pieces. You know, we, folks who go to Sotheby's auctions to invest some $ millions. The truth is I get jealous. I would be thrilled to get part of those happy savvy folks at Sotheby's last Wed 11 Nov and compete for both Andy Warhol pieces that exceeded by far their presale estimates. Touch√©. I am an eBay bidder! I make do with what I get. And yes, I am an avid attendant of contemporary art exhibits. Because it doesn't feed me. Then, I'm always looking forward to understanding why people like that. No, I'm not complicated., Yes I'm a curious and empathetic individual. Hey, you never know! I used to admire runners. I forced myself to do it. And now I'm an addict. The '200 One Dollar Bills' artwork has reached 3 times its highest presale estimate of $12 million, bringing $43 million at auction. It's the second priciest Warhol piece, the first having been 'Green Car Crash' sold for a record of $71.7 million in 2007.

I found out those paintings while I was trolling along Annecy, a lovely city in the French Alps. The artist is Jo Manno www.jmanno.com. His atelier set in the Alps. I've fallen in love with the first one. I really feel I can walk the corridor and join the light there. I like the different textures he created. The contour looks like rusted iron, while the middle is stone-alike. Any shoot wasn't good enough to show how the blue script enlightens the whole canvas, but it really does.
